IN THE COURTHOUSE
In 2006 the Union County Watchdog Association found it necessary to embark on a huge investigative task of finding and documenting all county government lawsuits of the recent past and which were still generating legal bills. Ultimately we would like to include court costs and settlements on all cases (some of this information is presently missing from our spread sheet) we've decided to publish what we have so far. Gathering this information will be a constant work in progress. We also list tort claims of interest.

We will keep a close watch on the Courthouse going forward. It�s important to note that two developments in 2006 will ensure that these suits will no longer be kept from the public. 1. We learned how to look up court cases on the GSP terminal at the courthouse where we found a sexual harassment suit that had been filed against a freeholder and a Para-transit passenger death; and 2. The Prosecutor�s office has ordered the county to be more forthcoming with what they are discussing in executive session.
